Perhaps the most important point of this is in the last two or three paragraphs, most consider it necessary to make a brief introduction.
Throughout my years as a university professor in humanities courses and artistic I have seen many students show a trend toward vegetarianism.
The first question is usually hacérseles "And also ... do not eat chicken and fish?" But beyond these questions universally stupid, the most common question is why they decided to become vegetarians. The answers tend to be many and from different points of view:
On religious issues, health issues, ideological, etc.
Many, especially in the east, as the Hare Krishnas do not eat animals for religious (in this case concerning the transmigration of souls). Among Christians are also vegetarians are based on the famous divine commandment: "Thou shalt not kill", even claiming that the increase was from grapes and not fish.
Others do not eat for health, say the human body is designed like the body of the herbivores, so the large intestine, the lack of claws, teeth, etc.
Some, if not most, argue out of respect for the other animals, refusing to eat other animals and defending the possibility of a balanced diet free of blood. A dimension that many often make is that the greens are also alive. Of course they do not feel, having no nervous system. Among
are vegetarians many scientists as Da Vinci ... so says the legend, of course that is inconsistent with the prescription of "eels" in the book which was published a while ago with recipes awarded to this man.
Too many philosophers have advocated a vegetarian, from different points of view, as mentioned above. We can go from Pythagoras (No animal sacrifice perhaps?) To Schopenhauer and get to Peter Singer, who says that animals are people too. Some sects of the East
chinstrap used not to kill living beings when they breathe and sweep the floor before each step to not kill anything that can walk on the road, of course, living off the fruits and seeds that fall from the trees, but is an attitude from my point of view, very ridiculous.
I forgot to mention, perhaps the high point of this review and what reason I sit down to write, among the vegetarians are also many young people only choose this lifestyle to attract attention, from which wear shirts that say "Go Vegan" to what they eat cans of tuna in hiding for fear of weakening or simply are tempted by a double hamburger with onion rings.

What I say is not intended as a defense of vegetarianism or just the opposite. But they are extremely stupid all these kids who are now vegetarian and used to call a medal of peace, when both waste resources on the planet (and neglected to protect the animals they say), give your pets feed (made from animals), used shirts and badges for all know not to eat animals and they have an ideology, while eating a triple gingerbread caramel, chocolate and refined beef fat.
In short, there is a trend which is becoming more the rage in the minds of some young inert. Ideologies are not designed, which are taken from wherever and incorporated into their minds, to have a place in society and be part of something, maybe this is the result of the lack of a clear paradigm in our days indicate that trend continue. May just be the result of young minds and when I was a youth I go through the same things and now I've forgotten.
Whatever it is, it is clear that society increasingly demands that there are marked differences between people, so everyone can be standardized and lose his own identity. We see it every day in all areas, although in this case I chose the gourmet style, as it is the one that most caught my attention.
But blaming society is very comfortable (and free us from blame) for its degree of abstraction, are not we all immersed in society and not we ourselves who the mold. I think it is time to stop the hypocrisy side and start fighting the trends that encased and only manage to make a society more divided.
